When I first took this product out of the shipping box, I was looking at what appeared to be an awkward, box shaped wheeled suitcase. After allowing my mind to drift to myself walking through an airport terminal with this thing in tow I quickly got down to business. Upon opening the suitcase you immediately see the care taken in design that ensures not only a tight fit but also safety for travel.

                Managing an Ethernet Network System can be very disheartening depending on the size of the system. Today let’s talk about inexpensive thermal cameras, specifically the Fluke TiS. As you heard from me previously, and know from being in the field, Fluke is a manufacturer at the top of their game. The Tis is Fluke’s entry level offering in the thermal market and it is, as usual, a solid piece of equipment.

Providing clients with proof that your work is installed properly is becoming more and more commonplace. Companies spend a lot of money to have networks installed in their offices and they want some guarantee that things are what you say they are. The Byte Brothers Real World Certifier does exactly that. In some respects, the RWC1000K is similar to the LVPRO3 that I reviewed last week.

This is a post in praise of Fluke. I honestly carry no bias in this and many companies make great products that are comparable in lots of ways. This post is just to let you know exactly what you are getting when you purchase Fluke, specifically their line of thermal imagers.

Even the most versatile tools won’t do everything. I’m sorry to tell you but the thermal camera that also takes electrical readings, tests fiber optic cables, analyzes combustible gases, and cooks you scrambled eggs hasn’t been invented yet. Joking aside, the lesson is that you need choose a tool that, while flexible, is tailored to tackle your specific job. So how do you choose a Fluke camera?
