FLIR E6 – A Whole New Level for Thermography (Part III)

Welcome back. The Flir E6 is next up on our list of new Flir cameras. As I’m sure you have guessed by now, the Flir E6 also features MSX technology, Flir’s awesome new invention that etches visible light details onto thermal images. Long story short, it looks awesome and makes for very detailed reporting.

Flir IR Windows: A New Way to Perform Maintenance

What is an IR window? Basically it is a crystal lens that allows broadband infrared waves to pass through it (as well as visible light). The lens does not however allow electrical current to pass through. This enables the thermographer to take IR and visible images of live and energized electrical equipment.

In a world filled with chaos and seemingly infinite thermal imaging choices, one man seeks to reveal the truth about the features and uses of Flir’ series of cameras. Which one? (Part V) – FLIR T Series for Electrical/Mechanical Applications

My epic blog series continues with Part V of Flir’s “How to Choose” video series; this installment focuses on the T series cameras and their benefits as applied to electrical and mechanical applications. If you have read my other post (and I will be greatly saddened if you have not…), you have a good idea of the features available thus far in Flir’s camera line.

Which one? (Part III) – FLIR E Series for Electrical/Mechanical Applications

The epic saga of the FLIR “How to Choose” summaries continues with this third installment. This time around we are taking a look at the E series cameras with particular regard to electrical and mechanical applications. FLIR’s video lists the same jobs as in its i-series videos but notes that the E series is most useful for applications that require more frequent thermal camera use.
