Extech BR200/250 Video Borescope Review

Sometimes you just need a small camera on a stick to get a better view of what you are doing. That is why Extech has created the BR200 and the BR250 Wireless Video Borescopes. Both of these borescopes feature a camera that has 712 x 486 (NTSC) pixels as well as a 3.5” detachable display. Having the display be detachable is a nice feature that allows you to use this in tight spaces that may not be wide enough to fit the screen through. The main difference between these two borescopes is the camera and probes. The BR200 features a 17mm camera head that has two LED lights that have a dimmer. The BR250 has a 9mm diameter camera that has four LED lights that also feature a dimmer. The Extech BR200/250 series of Wireless Video Borescopes have a wireless frequency of 2.4GHz and a transmission range of up to 32ft (unobstructed view). Included with your purchase is a 2GB micro SD card that can be used to capture images as well as the video the borescopes are producing for later viewing on a PC. All in all, this is a great borescope series to get a look at objects that are hard to see otherwise.

Cheers and Happy Testing,

-Sam
