Power Quality Analyzer

The Amprobe Solar-500 and Solar-600 Analyzers have been discontinued.

Today I will be reviewing the Amprobe Solar-500 and Solar-600 Solar Analyzers. Like their name implies they allow you to analyze solar panels.

From basic maintenance, troubleshooting or efficiency testing, these two solar analyzers have you covered. If you are an installer, this is an especially important tool as it will help you calculate and determine proper inverter size as well as positioning of the solar voltaic cells for maximum output.

For today’s review I will be going over a classic Clamp Meter from Amprobe. The Amprobe ACD-51NAV is a CAT IV 600A TRMS Clamp Meter used for maintenance and spot checking purposes.

This unit measures up to 1000V and can handle power measurements as well as THD (Total Harmonics Distortion) and Individual Harmonics. The Navigator clamp allows for non-contact voltage detection as well as measuring Inrush currents.
