Have you ever had $100 in your pocket and asked yourself, “Man, I’d really love a high quality Cable Tester, but all I have is $100”? Well, have I got news for you sonny! The VDV Scout Pro Tester Kit is a great Cable Tester and can easily be found for under $100.
What do you get for said $100? You get a 2 ¼” Digital Display, a self-storing remote, 5 ID Mappers (up to 19 can be used) and ports for RJ45, F-Connectors, and RJ11/12 jacks. It runs Fault Tests for Opens , Shorts, Miswires and Split Pairs and can indicate High Voltage and Shield Detection. About the only thing this tester can’t do is Measure Cable Length, but c’mon, you are only spending $100. What did you expect, a kitchen sink?
