Today I will be reviewing the Tasco PTL610 Power Trace Advanced Breaker Tracer. Precision and convenience are two key areas that Tasco really nails with this new breaker tracer.

The Tasco PTL610 operates very similarly to the basic premise of other breaker tracers. What I mean by this is that you have a transmitter that sends a signal down the wire and the receiver will pick it up on the other end.

What makes the Tasco PTL610 Power Trace Breaker Tracer so effective is it sends a composite signal that is a combination of separate frequencies that has a special “signature” that the receiver picks up. This greatly reduces any interference you would normally get from other electrical noise.

The convenience of the Tasco PTL610 comes in the fact you can use it as a one man operation and you do not have to depower the line so you can work without equipment down time.
