When it comes to testing equipment it can be easy to get lost in the latest and greatest technology. For ground resistance testing, sometimes less is more. The AEMC 3620-150 3-Point Ground Resistance Tester happens to be one of these testers. This ground resistance tester has a large analog display that shows direct readings from 0.5 to 1000 ohms. There is also a manual zero adjustment to increase the accuracy of your readings. Looking at the AEMC 3620 you can see there is very little to set up. There are color coded terminals that can easily be used with banana plug and spade lug inputs as well as the “Press to Measure” button. This is a very rugged piece of equipment that uses a sealed ABS Case to protect it from dust and water damage while out in the field. The 8 AA batteries as a power source allow the AEMC 3620 3-Point Ground Resistance Tester to be used in remote locations as you never know where your job might take you. AEMC sells this tester by itself as well as in three kits. The three different kits all share the following accessories,

The difference in the kits is the spools of color coded leads and how much length there is. The 150ft kit, as its name implies, comes with two 150ft red and blue leads on spools as well as a 30ft green lead. The 300ft kit comes with 300ft of red and blue leads as well as 100ft of green and black leads. The 500ft kit is the same as the 300ft kit except the red and blue leads are 500ft in length.
